Mission Statement

|
Proud that William David has never yet had negative shoot feedback since William David began
There are no intentions for that situation to change anytime soon. |
|
Mission:-
To cut through the hype & simply provide a personal photoshoot experience which meets the subjects needs.
To build up self confidence infront of the camera and help people become intuitive to being seen by the lens.
To understand that standing infront of the camera is a daunting & often frighting experience, and not to make it worse by being a frightening & daunting photographer.
To treat everyone with respect, and to work to their experience level, and expand on it where desired.
To offer a service that bit different from the rest, keep things simple, informal but professional.
To provide an economic alternative to various formula and vanity shoots.
To help prepare for the wider world of photoshoots if that's the intention.
To offer advice and encouragement often long after the photoshoot.
To offers services that can be as simple or as complex as desired within the scope of the brief.
To warrant that no "adult" work is ever shot by William David .
To encourage the involvement of parents where desired or appropriate, or partners/friends attendance.
To work together towards the final results as per the set agenda or brief.
To not encourage people to use William David because it may be cheaper, but because it suits their purpose.
William David is a solo photographer who qualified in professional photography in 1979. However for much of this time the main work was in allied fields and not always practical shooting. William David began as a non commercial short term project during a break from main work, which allowed the transformation from film to digital imaging in 2008. It has since expanded working within a Leicester Arts Centre and with a bias towards shoots with young actors and performers - with a distinctive theatre style to much of the work. However this can be misleading as shoots cover from basic portraits to performance if thats desired - but can be simply a set of portraits or headshots if thats the brief. The key aim is to remain flexable in a way many larger concerns cannot, and to provide a service that is both personal & excellent value.
